The IA4SI project aims to assess the impact of collective awareness platforms for sustainability and social innovation actions for a broad uptake on communities and, as a consequence, to support projects in the area in engaging citizens and society at large.
The IA4SI methodology will be used for supporting projects funded under the current Call 10 CAPS projects “Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation”. By applying the IA4SI methodology and by actively supporting its development through the participation in ad-hoc-organised workshops, each Call 10 CAPS projects project will be able to understand to what extent they are going to achieve the impacts defined by the Call and to re-organise their activities so as to improve their chance of achieving a real impact on communities, the natural environment and Europe as a whole.
The IA4SI objectives are in line with the target outcomes of Collaborative and Support Actions (CAPS projects Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation), i.e. “assessing the impact of the actions on communities allowing broad uptake of societal innovation, representing an empirical approach to the new topic of collective awareness platforms for sustainability and social innovation” and “distilling the best practices from existing and new initiatives, creating synergies and critical mass, and targeting the integration of the various approaches to solve significant societal challenges”.
